Returns and Exchanges
Thanks for considering us for your kiteboarding needs. We have spent hundreds of hours bringing you some of the most helpful educational resources and some of the best kiteboarding gear out there. Our goal is to make sure that the right kite gets into your hands, that you know how to use it, and that you love it. Based on that, please read on to see how we make sure we get you the right gear…
If you find that the kite you ordered is not exactly the size you want, or if you would prefer the water re-launchable version, we’d love to exchange your kite for one that you do want within 30 days. Simply:
- Let us know that you would like to exchange, and tell us which kite you would prefer.
- We will send you the exchange instructions.
- Mail your kite back to us.
- We’ll bill or refund you the difference in price.
- Once we get the exchanged kite, we’ll mail you your new one.
- Voila! You’ve got the perfect kite!
If you would like to return your kite, please contact us first. We need to authorize the return, and there’s usually something we can do to help if there’s a problem.
All products purchased from us may be returned in a new and unused condition within 30 days of the shipping date. All products for which you are requesting a return must be in their original condition, including all accessories, the original packaging, manuals, etc. We will issue you your refund via the same method of original payment. Because we offer free shipping on most kites, we will have to deduct the cost of the shipping from the refund amount (usually only $10-$15).
Sales and Clearance Items – Because we were able to give you such a steal of a deal on sales or clearance items, these sales are considered final. Still, if you would really like to exchange something, we can probably work out a deal. Just contact us and we’ll do our best to help!
If we mail you the wrong kite. If we mail you the wrong kite (which has never happened to date), please let us know immediately. We’ll make sure that we get you the right kite at zero cost to you. When you pay to send the kite back to us, we’ll refund you that amount off of your purchase, and we’ll ship you the proper kite ASAP.
Because we look for the highest quality kites, warrantee issues are rare. However, if something goes wrong with your kite that shouldn’t, we will do everything we can to help. If this happens, email us - we’ll get in touch with the manufacturer and get you a replacement for the defective part.
Note – Because kiteboarding is such a high powered activity, it’s important to distinguish between regular use and abnormal use. It’s possible to completely destroy any kite and still not have a warrantee issue (trust me, I’ve done it). We cannot accept trades or warrantee claims on kites that have been damaged as a result of how it was flown (i.e – if it has been flown into a tree, or smashed repeatedly on the ground, or dragged behind a boat etc...).
On the other hand, issues that are caused by faults in construction or assembly are easy to fix warrantee items. Just let us know if it happens (or even if you need help determining if you have a warrantee issue or not).
